As you would expect in an area that is wild, scenic and beautiful, it comes alive with events to experience what it has to offer. The Erris Beo festival is a combination of Outdoor Activities, Golf and Cultural Events that is held every June. The Kilmore Triathalon (Blacksod Point Challenge) is fast gaining a reputation as one of the best triathalons in Ireland while the Walking Festivals explore the wonderful landscape of the area. Local sports include Gaelic Football, Hurling and Soccer and the visitor can get a taste of local rivalry and “Comments” at any match.
